Coastodians

As our coastal and marine habitats are restored and nature thrives it brings opportunities for our communities to be healthier, for wellbeing to be improved, knowledge and skills to be gained and biodiversity to be celebrated. SCAMP will help communities make the most of these many opportunities for their own wellbeing as well as improving access and providing SCAMP-related jobs. These job opportunities will vary from those in the habitat restoration itself to new tourism business opportunities in a healthy thriving Solway.

As part of our SCAMP early engagement work we have connected with an incredible group of enthusiastic and interested ‘coastodians’ who have been actively involved in our walks and talks, SCAMP picnics, research trips and recent expeditions in our SCAMP boat out into the Solway in search of oyster beds, seagrass and marine biodiversity.
